About Us

Our Story

We were both raised in Victoria and fell in love in 2010, getting married in 2013 — the same year Haley finished her degree and jumped into pedicabbing as a “last hurrah” before moving on to a cushy government job. That plan didn’t quite stick. What was meant to be a short-term adventure quickly turned into a real love for pedicabbing and an even deeper appreciation for our city. Michael joined behind the handlebars in 2023, and by 2025, Ride or Die officially rolled onto the streets.

We genuinely believe Victoria is the greatest little city around — big on old-timey pubs, breweries, heritage homes, grand old hotels, totems, cocktail lounges, seaside trails, lush gardens, and of course, flowers… but small on traffic, snow, and people who just can’t appreciate paradise.

The name Ride or Die is our tribute to our lasting partnership and our shared “just go for it” / carpe diem attitude. The phrase traditionally means a loyal partner — the person you’d bury the bodies with — but for us, it’s also a reminder to do the things you want to do, before it’s too late.

Our tours are all about having a good time. We know the city’s history and culture inside and out, but we focus on the visual wow factor — sightseeing and storytelling, not history class. We love sharing fun, quirky facts from Victoria’s colourful past, but we’re not here to defend a thesis.

That approach lets us show you more of the city in less time, with way more laughs. This city — and our love of pedicabbing — is in our DNA.

Don’t believe us? Just ask our toughest competitor… our son.

WHAT IS A PEDICAB?

Open carriage vehicle – benefits are: enjoyment of walking faster than walking, but slower than a vehicle, and we go places that cars can’t go. You get to see more than you’d see from a car.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE saying

We departed our cruise ship with no plans, but Heloise was there with her Pedicab. We have a wonderful two hour tour of the city! Loved Heloise. I recommend seeing the beautiful city of Victoria on a Pedicab with Heloise!

We were a couple of lost cruise ship passengers trying to figure out what to do when Haley comes up and asks if we wanted a ride!! Best part of our day!!

She took us on a mini tour before dropping us off, then we were able to catch back up with her for a scenic trip around Beacon Park. Job well done Haley!!

We walked off the boat with a couple of hours until our dinner reservations. It was a bit nippy so I figured a cab ride into town followed by a pub crawl would be our unplanned. The dude at the cab stand insisted we try a pedicab instead of a motor cab. Blankets would keep us warm. Next thing I know we were on wheels with Haley Lopez Iverson pedaling. I couldn't stop smiling as the perfect combination of zero expectations met with an exuberant, experienced and sweet young tour guide. What a hoot. Haley showed us some really cool homes, flora, fauna, and finally the chocolate shop. She got us to our restaurant right on time. Totally worth the price. An experience you can't plan ahead, but will remember for years to come.

Got off the boat and wasn't sure what we wanted to do. Found ourselves going back and forth between all the pedicabs and taxi cabs. Haley pulled up and we decided why not. She was an amazing tour guide and pedicab driver. She was very knowledgeable about the history and made it very fun and interesting. So glad we decided to let Haley take us downtown.

Haley was a delight and very knowledgeable about Victoria. It was a fun ride and site seeing experience from the pedicab. I would recommend you seek out Haley to explore the city. She also was very kind to peddle me back to the ship.

Was visiting Victoria on the celebrity solstice, having a lovely walk around with family. Had enjoyed a lovely dinner and saw these amazing bikes that you could hire for a ride, Haley gave us an amazing trip back to the cruise ship by showing us the amazing houses and interesting sites between town and the port. Would highly recommend Haley she was very knowledgeable and friendly.

My friend and I were by the Empress Hotel and wanted to get back to our cruise ship. Along came Haley on her Pedicab. We had already taken a private tour in the morning so all we wanted was transportation to the ship. However, she just started talking and taking us to many interesting stops along the way home. We went into the driveways of two private homes with outstanding gardens and architecture. We had so much fun. It was the highlight of our stop in Victoria. Really loved the Fisherman's Wharf area. Haley was so interesting and fun. You go girl!

We took the pedicab the few short blocks from Empress to the Clipper dock. Our driver Haley was full of information and fun stuff in that short distance. Unfortunately it was our last thing to do in Victoria. If I had it to do over again, l'd book a pedicab tour of the downtown area. Haley was a hoot and her refreshing view of the city and environs was delightful. They take credit cards too.

A fascinating point of view of Victoria from a pedicab seems odd at first. Once you get to know the city thru personal view shared by a native of Victoria is priceless. Seeing through her eyes the basic information and facts about the City's historic monuments and sights comes to life. For the first time i realize how life was so simple in those days, and yet so interesting. A walking tour thru the streets of Chinatown is a must and visit Roger's Chocolate store is worth it.

I would recommend this type of tour to anyone. And a Special Thanks to our Pedi-Cab Driver/Tour Guide Haley-Lopez Iverson

“On Aug 7 my husband and I took the Seattle Ferry to spend the day in Victoria. I had booked Haley for a tour. What a find. She was wonderful. Met us at the dock and swept us away to see all the sights in Victoria. It was 3 hours of fun! Information! and Relaxation!. My husband was a little skeptical of this but in the end he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This was the best part of seeing Victoria. We saw Chinatown, Fisherman's wharf, the old town, Beacon Hill park, and the beautiful views of the bay. After being with Haley we ate at a pub she suggested. Food was good. The rest of our day in Victoria paled in comparison to the 3 hours spent with Haley. Victoria is a cruise ship town full with tourists. I suggest a trip with the pedicab to take you to the peace and quiet of the other side of Victoria.”

Find Haley Iverson and her pedicab at the waterfront. My sister and l had only 1 day to see as much as possible and were headed to catch a couple of city tours when we stopped to chat with Haley. She has lived in Victoria all her life and gave us a personal tour to beat all tours! She is a wealth of knowledge and charming. Had a history tour and great conversation. Forget the tours and hire Haley! You wont regret it...we sure didnt.. Barb and Leslie

“We decided to take a pedicab tour of Victoria and we had a blast! Ask for Heloise. She is so lovely and fun. We learned a lot and did it at a pace without feeling rushed. We took the 2.5 hour tour and had plenty of time to explore and stop off at sites of interest. Great way to see the city!!!”

Lynn Giff

Heloise was amazing! She took me to the park and fed the peacocks. We saw the most adorable gingerbread houses. Then we went downtown for a hamburger and chocolates. We stopped on a hill and got a beautiful view of downtown all lit up! Highly recommend as a lovely way to see
